Wild is the wind

Dress - New Look.  Blazer - River Island.  Bowtie - Rockit.
Tights - Marks and Spencers.  Earrings - Camden.  Flats - New Look.
T-shirt - Uniqlo HeatTech.

Estimated temperature: -3, bitches!

Here, at last, is the bowtie I bought at Rockit Vintage.  For some reason, the ghostly daguerreotype of a vivid, feminine dress (New Look on sale at £10 {Look who learned to type with a pound sign!}) worn with a bow has been haunting me since before I bought it and at last I got to try the look out!

Don't be fooled by the pretty little illusion of sun in these photos; the wind is so strong these days that every time I step out, I'm whipped smartly round the head by handfuls of little twigs and leaves.  According to the weather report, which I have a massive obsession with (for?  about?  over?), the wind is zipping around at a hearty 23mph.

Look at the little gulls trembling on the frozen pond! (They're not really trembling, the buggers are used to it.  Anthropomorphic, much?)

Anyroad, between rolling around on the floor in the common room, trying to put together a plot for a story on Post-its without making myself sick and watching a West Wing marathon while snacking on brie and table water, I've been spending most of my time indoors out of the dastardly blast, wearing comfy velvety clothing such as the above.

Also, this means I'm on the Interwebs a lot, and I bring you a little bit of the funny from there, vis:

Helium walks into a bar and orders a beer.  The bartender says, "I'm sorry, we don't serve noble gases here."  Helium doesn't react.

Thank you Chicago, I'll be here all week.
